History

We know how many of you visit Ybor City with the past in mind, so we took it upon ourselves to research the history of our fair hole-in-the-wall bar.

The history of the Reservoir Bar is short, we opened in August 2004, the building and area, however, date back to the turn of the twentieth century

The Address's Past

The 1518 7th avenue address is first listed in 1904 as David Kasriel's Dry Goods Store. It remained in the hands of David Kasriel until the Great Depression. Kasriel also owned a department store in Ybor City and it is listed on the historic Jewish walking tour. Later in the 1950's is served as the Ritz Shoe Store, as a pottery store, and later as a series of bars and restaurants. The structure itself seems to be holding up quite well after its first 100 years of existence.
